More remix goodness from XXXChange and this time around Los Angeles experimental beat maker Daedelus gets the treatment. The original is taken the just released long player ’Love To Make Music To’ out now on Ninja Tune.

Well they’re back and the hipster bashing ‘Squares’ is the lead single taken from the forthcoming August released album ‘A City Dressed in Dynamite’. Swedish duo Sebastian Mullaert and Marcus Henriksson aka Minilogue have been doing a nice line in minimal, nineties tech-inspired beats for a while now and here’s their latest excursion into head territory.

Leamington Spa act Post War Years have got that thing that elevates bands above the boring average. This is definitely the case with the scuzzy bass, electronics and big fat grooves of ‘You And Me Both’, which is on the flip to their upcoming ’The Black Morning’ 7″ single via Rough Trade. There’s the old saying that goes along the lines of if you want a job doing well then do it yourself, and that’s just what Van She Tech have done with this remix of the latest single from Van She. It’s just under four minutes of pretty stellar electro pop and look out for the album of the same name in August via Modular.
Noir Boys Club is the project of dj/remix/production duo of Laurence Matthew (Lillica LIbertine) and James Mills (The Glamour Soundsystem). Less than two months old, the project is already getting massive interest and is directly linked with the recently launched fashion media group StyleNoir.
There’s an official launch party taking place at London’s Hoxton Bar and Grill on May 11th featuring live performances from The Real Heat, Glamour Soundsystem and Noir Boys Club, along with sets from Thick As Thieves, Tapedeck and Lillica Libertine. The night will also feature catwalk shows by hip punk label Charles of London.
These two twitchy, bassy heavy tracks are taken from the recent EP ‘Style Noir presents: NBC’ and are currently doing the rounds with a few notable djs.

This weeks mix is half an hour of techy (not techy) goodness from Kieran Hebden aka Fourtet. Courtesy of Domino Records US, this is to promote the recent release of his four-track mini album the entilted ‘Ringer’.
So, this freebie from Riva Starr was in the mailbox and it’s the recent Colin Hobbs remix that’s been getting a lot of play from all Switch and Jesse Rose etc. It’s only up for ten days so grab it and look out for the upcoming ‘War Drums’ EP next month. The competition that’s running by New York imprint Crux Records to remix Bryan Cox’s track ‘Let’s Go To Work’ that was previously mentioned all over the internets and here has been getting plenty of entries. You can get all the top remixes as voted for by the readers over at cruxdahouse blogspot and this reworking by B Rich got the top spot.
