Funkadelic released their self titled uplifting debut in 1970 and if you haven’t got it, check it out. First song on the album, the 9 minute groover “Mommy, What’s A Funkadelic?” was their introduction to us all, in which George Clinton tells us he went to New York and got his hair laid, lucky guy (?).
