I’ve got a bit of a thing for the deep soul of Jill Scott and she’s coming to town in a couple of days so I can’t think of a better reason than to post these. Though continuing the fine Manchester tradition of putting on gigs at inconvenient times it’s on a Sunday night, trust me, this city never gets a decent live event on a Friday or Saturday night.
Her latest single ‘Hate On Me’ – taken from the album ‘The Real Thing’ – gets a choppy raggaeton rework, and the ultra slick Kenny Dope remix takes ‘Golden’ – from 2004’s ‘Beautifully Human’ – to the dance floor.
