LIVE AND INDIRECT

Oakland-based DJ/producer Amplive is half of one of top Bay Area Hip Hop outfit Zion I, whose last album ‘Heroes In The City Of Dope’ (with The Grouch) was seeing heavy rotation in these parts.

He has plenty of production credits under his belt for the likes of Keek Da Sneak and Talib Kweli, and he’s more recently been turning his attention to Radiohead’s sixth album ‘In Rainbows’. Upon it’s release the pay what you want, digital only format caused plenty of hype, but to be honest I found it pretty throwaway (for Radiohead), anyway Amplive has picked apart and dissected the ten tracks and come up with ‘Rainydayz Remixes’.

More details will obviously be forthcoming, but for the time being here’s the slick, beaten up version of ‘Nude’ featuring contributions from Too Short and Zion. The track features on the new get weird mixtape thing which you can get from the myspace page.
