So, the release date for the Neon Neon long player is finally approaching. The collaborative project of Super Furry Animals frontman Gruff Rhys and Bryan Hollon, aka Ohio based underground hip-hop producer Boom Bip, will definitely be a great addition to what is already shaping up to be a strong year for good music.
The single ‘Racquel’ came out in December and was backed by a remix from Hot Chip and the album ‘Stainless Style’, which is themed around the basically crazy/admirable life of John Delorean, is set to drop early March on Lex Records.
Tasty contributions come from Fat Lip and Yo Majesty, along with Spank Rock and Sean Tillmann (Har Mar Superstar), who appear on the frankly brilliant ‘Trick For Treat’ which came out way back in April last year, but which features Har Mar’s pimped-out falsetto and Naeem’s smooth delivery laid over some sharp dance floor beats.
