Aussie sensations PNAU are playing Contort Yourself at The Roadhouse this Saturday and here’s a low-q version of the super smooth remix of their newie (featuring vocals from Ladyhwake) by Fred Falke and Miami Horror. It’s out officially on August 18th.

Miami and Fred usually do good stuff. This mix however is a travesty of the original pnau genius. Its a disgrace and it makes me sad. It has nothing, NOTHING of the sonic complexity and depth of the Pnau mix. What were they thinking??? What are YOU thinking???

I hear you about PNAU’s original. When I saw Falke and Miami Horror together it looked a good prospect, but we’re you ever going to get ’sonic complexity’ with Miami Horror and Fred Falke? That was maybe the thinking behind the remix. The thinking behind this post is that PNAU are in town this weekend (so it promotes that) and this is the only PNAU related material we have that a record/promo company sent over. We could’ve posted the original for public consumption, but that would be doing PNAU a dis-service.
why post a low q of a song not for sale thats available in hq?
because it might encourage people to actually BUY the hq version when it comes out? so PNAU can get some money for their work? I dunno, maybe I’m missing something here….
