Missouri’s Max Justus has the name of a crime fighting super hero and his father was in eighties/nineties new wavers Servant who we’re fond of smoke and lasers. He recently signed with Kansas City label The Record Machine to release his newest album ‘Five Leaping Leopards’ which is full of smooth rhythms and that ‘composes electronic instrumentals that range from space-age funk to staticky industrial blasts to warped hip-hop loops.’ From it here’s ‘Seven’ and as a bonus a nice remix of a classic.
mp3: max justus – seven.
mp3: c+c music factory – everybody dance now (max justus remix).

We saw this guy at the Record Bar in Kansas City (Nov. 14th, 08) and it was just him and his laptop…
I don’t dance but something about his music and seeing him up there getting into it just makes you want to let go, feel it and have yourself a good time. Too fun.
Check him out if you ever get the chance.
I checked out his MySpace page…he only makes one claim…”my dad is cooler than your dad”. Seeing the pictures of his dad, I have to agree.
Go Max Go!
