You might remember the Daedelus and Jogger split release we mentioned a few months back called ‘Friends of Friends’ and there’s a remixed version which is out on July 28th. It’ll be available at digital retailers everywhere with some hot remixes by Keenhouse, Michna, Mexicans With Guns, Nosaj Thing, Eliot Lipp and this nice electro disco rework by Grahm Zilla from Thunderheist.

The new ’Mad Mahoney’ EP from German collective ACIDKIDS is the debut release on their own label and it’s all fat basslines with anthemic synth action. There are plenty of remixes including this one from Zongamin and one by Trevor Loveys and you can get the whole thing at Juno or Beatport.

Chromeo return for the first DJ-KICKS mix in two years and true to the series standard their selection takes in the more overlooked side of eighties pop and disco that you won’t hear anywhere else. It’s all robo-funk basslines and plastic handclaps and includes tracks from Leo Sayer, France Joli and The Alan Parsons Project plus more contemporary cuts from the likes of Lifelike and Chateau Marmont. There’s also a cover version the Eagles track ‘I Can’t Tell You Why’ which is available for download here.

Brooklyn based duo Tanlines are Jesse Cohen from Professor Murder and Eric Emm of production duo Brothers (Telepathe, Free Blood, !!!). They came to prominence early last year with a remix of Telepathe’s track ‘Chromes On It’ which was followed by a debut release on Young Turks. Check their channel on Youtube for some nice self-made videos and here’s a remix of a recent single by Bombay Bicycle Club.

The new single ‘Blue Skies’ by London’s Noah and The Whale isn’t out for another month but it’s already receiving plenty of praise and there are some remixes over at brand new blog Drum Roll Please by Phoenix producer Death To The Throne and Portland duo YACHT who’ve added a great vibe and made the track their own.

This remix of ‘London Town’ by Man Like Me has been out a couple of months but we missed it and it’s by our favourite Thug House producer Dances With White Girls. More recently there’s a nice remix of the latest single ‘Get On It’ by Stereo MC’s which is worth tracking down and he’s also playing The Echoplex in Los Angeles this Saturday.
